Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of www.krend.kr and the Krend Korea apps (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by Chanyoung Boo, a sole proprietor trading as KREND, registered in the Republic of Korea (Business Registration No. 895-16-02765), at 15-1 Hakdong-ro 24-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea.

You must be at least 14 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your password secure. Please provide accurate information and notify us of any unauthorized use.

Krend provides tools for learning Korean. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial learning. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, scrape, copy, or resell the Service or its content.
• Disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts.
• Use the Service for any unlawful or infringing purpose.
• Circumvent usage limits, security, or access controls.

Some features require a paid subscription (for example, monthly, yearly, or lifetime plans). Payments are processed by our payment provider, who acts as merchant of record. Recurring plans renew automatically until cancelled; you may cancel at any time and will keep access until the end of your paid period. Prices and plan features may change, with notice for active subscribers.

If something isn’t right, contact us at support@krend.kr within 14 days of your purchase and we’ll review your request. Except where required by applicable law, refunds are provided at our discretion. See our full Refund & Cancellation Policy.

In-app “clams”, collected words, and similar virtual items have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be adjusted, expired, or reset. They are a feature of the Service, not property.

The Service and its content, and the marks Krend, Kalphabet, Kaily, Karticle, Kard, and Koinage, are owned by Krend Korea and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not use our names or marks without our prior written permission.

The Service uses third-party providers (including Google Firebase, MongoDB Atlas, our payment provider, Vercel, and Cloudflare). Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee any particular learning outcome or level of fluency, nor that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Educational content may contain inaccuracies.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Krend Korea will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Seoul, Republic of Korea, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
