요즘 한국 SNS에는 새벽에 일어나 운동하고 공부하는 사람들의 인증샷이 넘쳐나요.These days, Korean social media is overflowing with proof shots of people waking up early, exercising, and studying.

이렇게 하루를 알차고 부지런하게 사는 걸 두고 사람들은 ‘갓생을 산다’고 말하거든요.Regarding living a day fruitfully and diligently like this, people say, 'They are living a gat-saeng,' you see.

갓생은 영어 ‘God’과 한자 ‘생(生)’을 합친 말이에요.Gat-saeng is a word combining the English word 'God' and the Chinese character 'saeng (生)'.

즉 신처럼 완벽하고 성실한 삶이라는 뜻이죠.In other words, it means a life that is perfect and diligent, like a god.

아침 일찍 일어나기, 규칙적인 운동, 꾸준한 공부처럼 작은 습관을 지키는 게 핵심이에요.The key is keeping small habits like waking up early in the morning, regular exercise, and consistent studying.

그래서 하루를 잘 보낸 날엔 “오늘도 갓생 살았다”라고 뿌듯하게 쓰기도 해요.So, on days when they have spent the day well, they also proudly write, "I lived a god-tier, diligent life today too."

물론 매일 완벽하게 사는 사람은 없어요.Of course, no one lives perfectly every day.

하지만 갓생이라는 말에는 조금이라도 더 나은 내가 되고 싶은 마음이 담겨 있죠.But the word 'gat-saeng' contains the desire to become an even slightly better version of myself.

남과 비교하기보다 어제의 나보다 나아지려고 노력하는 셈이에요.It is as if they are trying to become better than yesterday's self rather than comparing themselves to others.

여러분은 오늘 어떤 갓생을 살고 있나요?What kind of gat-saeng are you living today, everyone?
